Since joining Bobcat Company in 1997, Joel Honeyman has exemplified the company’s mission of empowering people to accomplish more. He became the vice president of global innovation in 2014, a role in which he fosters a culture of innovation by partnering with global technology leaders and integrating advanced functionality into Bobcat’s products and services.

His forward-thinking approach not only guides his team but also inspires company-wide collaboration to embrace the unknown and create for the future. These efforts have positioned Bobcat at the forefront of emerging technologies like alternative-energy equipment and autonomous operation.

Under Joel’s leadership, Bobcat has received numerous accolades, including Fast Company’s 2023 World Changing Ideas Award, Fast Company’s 2024 Most Innovative Companies Award and CES® Innovation Awards.

Joel’s previous roles at Bobcat include vice president of North American sales, national accounts manager and regional sales manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Innovation Technology from Purdue University. He is actively involved in industry organizations, serves as an ambassador for STEM education, and frequently speaks at innovation and industry events.
