Our Story

We were founded in 1991 in Long Beach, California with just a handful of programmers who had a passion to build the most comprehensive software to empower rental equipment companies.

And we did just that.

Today, we are driven by our passion to work with the best companies in the world and help them become even better. We love challenges and problem-solving, which is why we come into work each day driven to deliver solutions that help our clients fulfill their potential.

We have grown from just a rental software company to one that offers multiple solutions, from construction equipment management to transportation and logistics. And our team has grown globally, too. We’re headquartered in Irvine, California, with additional offices in Houston, Texas; Elland, United Kingdom; and Toronto, Canada.

But one thing hasn’t changed: We’re still a team of passionate people who want to build software that empowers our customers to strengthen and grow.

About
General Manager

Robert Gray

Robert is the General Manager at Wynne. He firmly believes that Sales and Marketing should always strive to be our clients’ business partner–working to help them achieve their short and long-term goals. Robert has experience at BigRentz, United Rentals and RentalHawk.com. His career history and deep industry knowledge has proven valuable for Wynne and its clientele. Prior to his promotion to General Manager, he held the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Initiatives, helping to develop three new products that are helping to change the landscape of rental equipment software. Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.

Sammy Yu

Sammy Yu leads Wynne's Finance team. Sammy oversees all financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes.
Prior to Wynne, Sammy was Director of Finance for one of Wynne's sister companies, Gallery Systems.

Director of Initiatives

James Wolf

James leads Wynne's Initiatives. Along with his team, they conceptualize new products and with rigorous market validation, bring those products to market. James has become the figurehead of initiatives, having launched many successful products with his time at Assetworks (sister company to Wynne).

VP of Product

Patrick Stephens

Patrick has vast experience in all facets of the rental industry, spanning small tools, major construction equipment, aerial, pump, and power, general rental, and specialty rental. As Chief Technology Officer of United Rentals, he helped build the organization from their first store to over 750 locations at the time of his departure in 2010. He then consulted to the industry before becoming Chief Information Officer of Rain for Rent for several years. Following that, Patrick moved on to Kennards Hire as their General Manager of IT.

Director of Marketing

Beth Mahler

Beth is a strategic executive with an extensive career in marketing, branding, and product development for fortune 500 retailers and award-winning SaaS and service companies. Beth brings twenty-five plus years’ experience across various verticals including retail, healthcare, hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, and sports. In the last ten years, she has pivoted focus to the SaaS and technology sector specializing in the re-positioning of brands from product to providing customer-centric solutions and the implementation of marketing strategies for high growth. Beth has a unique aptitude for data and analytics and is knowledgeable in both traditional and digital marketing strategies.

Clare McCormick

Clare manages Wynne's Professional Services team. They oversee implementation of Wynne products, provide consultations and training, as well as manage customer-requested modifications to our software.

Donna Dowie

Donna Dowie oversees the entire customer care team at Wynne. Her team manages all incoming support requests and provides technical assistance to our clients located around the globe.

Director of Sales

Scott Lowman

Scott started his career in the rental industry in 2002 with United Rentals as an inside sales coordinator in Long Beach, CA. He remained with them until joining Wynne Systems in March of 2022. Over this 20-year span, has held multiple operational and sales management positions both locally and nationally for United’s general rental and specialty divisions.

Scott spent 11 years in operations leading multiple locations consisting of 90+ staff, $65M in controllable assets and $35M in annual revenue. Major market verticals included: infrastructure, non-residential, oil and gas, renewable energy, and government contracts. During his 9 years in sales, he was consistently at top performer for the organization and recently spent the last few years supporting and elevating 17 national account mangers achieving $650M annually in revenue. Scott contributed to several rollouts and initiative teams focusing on processes such as: fleet management, Lean/Kaizen principles, pricing index, logistics, AP, advanced solutions, and leadership development.

Scott is driven by his four core values: faith, family, community, and colleagues and strives in his words to be a “humble servant leader”. He a native surfer from Huntington Beach, CA who relocated 3yrs ago to Scottsdale AZ where he lives with his wife, 13yr old daughter, 9yr old son and 4 rescue dogs.

Steve Kistler

Steve oversees Wynne’s entire development team and has worked with Wynne directly or with customers who use RentalMan for the past 10+ years. His team handles the maintenance and enhancement of all Wynne’s products and services.
