Our Story

We were founded in 1991 in Long Beach, California with just a handful of programmers who had a passion to build the most comprehensive software to empower rental equipment companies.

And we did just that.

Today, we are driven by our passion to work with the best companies in the world and help them become even better. We love challenges and problem-solving, which is why we come into work each day driven to deliver solutions that help our clients fulfill their potential.

We have grown from just a rental software company to one that offers multiple solutions, from construction equipment management to transportation and logistics. And our team has grown globally, too. We’re headquartered in Irvine, California, with additional offices in Houston, Texas; Elland, United Kingdom; and Toronto, Canada.

But one thing hasn’t changed: We’re still a team of passionate people who want to build software that empowers our customers to strengthen and grow.

Our History

Leadership Team

Robert Gray
General Manager

Robert Gray

Robert is the General Manager at Wynne. He firmly believes that Sales and Marketing should always strive to be our clients’ business partner–working to help them achieve their short and long-term goals. Robert has experience at BigRentz, United Rentals and His career history and deep industry knowledge has proven valuable for Wynne and its clientele. Prior to his promotion to General Manager, he held the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Initiatives, helping to develop three new products that are helping to change the landscape of rental equipment software. Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.

Gregory Huse

An experienced accountant, graduated California State University Fullerton with a strong passion for advancing my learning skills in the business accounting field. Learning and achieving new tasks is a stronghold for me and I plan to pursue this in life. California State University Fullerton has prepared me to achieve my goals by providing me with rigorous classes on subjects like business writing, business ethics, management, finance, marketing, and accounting.
VP of Product

Patrick Stephens

Patrick has vast experience in all facets of the rental industry, spanning small tools, major construction equipment, aerial, pump, and power, general rental, and specialty rental. As Chief Technology Officer of United Rentals, he helped build the organization from their first store to over 750 locations at the time of his departure in 2010. He then consulted to the industry before becoming Chief Information Officer of Rain for Rent for several years. Following that, Patrick moved on to Kennards Hire as their General Manager of IT.
Director of Professional Services

Clare McCormick

With over 15 years of implementing rental software, Clare McCormick’s experience and passion for success helps her lead the professional services team to collaborate with customers to devise the best plan to implement technology and protect their business throughout implementation and end use.

Clare’s expertise has spanned numerous projects varying from trainer, business analyst, project manager, PMO and customer success manager. Now she is drawing on these experiences as Wynne System’s Director of Professional Services to provide the best experience our existing and new rental & construction customers who are seeking to realize more benefits from our solutions.

Clare thrives on innovation and new approaches to help provide results. She continually strives to solve the challenges both Wynne and our customers face and grow their business and value.

Clare is a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Leeds.

Director of Customer Care

Donna Dowie

Donna joined the Wynne team in 2008 and has worked in Customer Care for over 13 years. Her team manages all incoming support requests, provides technical assistance to our clients located around the globe and helps them to achieve their business goals by utilizing our products and services to their full capacity and efficiency.

Driven by building quality relationships and achieving success, Donna and her team strive for excellence and help our customers to achieve the same. Donna’s continuous improvement strategy with the Service Desk has seen ticket time decrease by 20%, Service Level Delivery Targets more than halved and average ticket age reduced by 40% in the last two years.

She has a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Durham which serves her well in statistical analysis and improvement.

Steve Kistler

Steve oversees Wynne’s entire development team and has worked with Wynne directly or with customers who use RentalMan for the past 10+ years. His team handles the maintenance and enhancement of all Wynne’s products and services.
