IntelliSource
- New Lines & Fields for Reservations – New details continue to populate the Reservations screens in IntelliSource. This is part of the larger effort to expand the capabilities of IntelliSource beyond an equipment searching tool and into a fully fledged tool for rental coordinators. The goal is to manage the entire quote to staging process for rentals including quotes, reservations, contracts, and equipment search all in one space. Here are a few changes we made with that goal in mind:
- Delivery charges, pickup charges, and comments are all now available in the Reservation details screen in IntelliSource.
- Sales items, suggested items, and line comments are also available in the Reservation details screen.
- Find Equipment Click Through to WSS & WLS – When browsing available equipment for an order, users can now click into work orders and pick up details related to specific equipment.
Logistics Solution (WLS)
- HERE Technologies is… here! – You might remember our article on the new partnership with HERE Technologies from earlier this year. Well, it’s now official. Google Maps is being replaced in WLS with HERE Technologies. HERE is a truck-focused mapping solution that offers advanced routing options including commercial vehicle restrictions. If you’d like a refresh on HERE’s capabilities, see this article.
- Home Office Location – Automatically calculate total trip duration to and from a driver’s “home office” location. This new feature provides dispatchers with visibility into the full driver route, including potential empty loads and miles, while eliminating manual time adjustments. Overall, this improves dispatching accuracy and streamlines planning for deliveries and service routes.
- Multi Load Dispatch Report – Consolidate multiple loads that are part of a single order with this new multi load dispatch report feature. This is a great option for those who are looking to eliminate repetitive documents and attaching a single, complete report for drivers and a single proof of delivery.
- Dispatch Search Filter – Dispatch is fast moving. The WLS dashboard your team uses every day just got a new filter customization option to keep up with their pace. You can now hide or show up to 15 dropdown filter options at a time under the new “Filter Criteria” option in the Settings.
- Scheduler Map Move – The Scheduler Map now has it’s own dedicated page rather than just a popup window. This provides your dispatchers with a new level of visibility and control. The new map keeps all it’s existing functionality while adding the ability to view more driver routes at once, filter by location, and track live driver positions from a selected GPS source.
- WLS push from RMUI – New enhancements to the API that handles the push process from RMUI to WLS allows order to be pushed directly into WLS and displayed on the Order Dashboard using the Contract Number. This prevents delays in order creation and prevents incorrect order numbers from being displayed. The process requires users to sign in (if not already authenticated) so all changes are tracked to the actual user making them rather than the integration user.
- VisionLink Integration – WLS can now be integrated with Caterpillar’s VisionLink, pulling CAT equipment data once every day. Once integrated, drivers and dispatchers see last known locations, jobsite proximity, and can request on-demand updates. This reduces manual data entry, prevents scheduling errors, and improves dispatch efficiency by ensuring exact equipment location before sending a driver.
- Link Trailers and Drivers to Trucks – This helps dispatchers have better visibility of complete vehicle configurations in the Scheduler screen.
- Image Capture Transfer from WLS to MobileLink – Condition reports, including photo capture, now automatically transfer between WLS to MobileLink. This means that drivers in the field can complete condition reports immediately during pickup, eliminating the need for manual report and photo upload later to MobileLink.
Service Solution
- Competencies – A new, major update is available in Service Solution in the form of mechanic competencies. This means that you can assign skills, capabilities, and certifications to your mechanics. Competencies are fully customizable, allowing you to add anything you’d like to the list. Overall, this adds a new level of productivity and safety to your service team by ensuring the right mechanic is on the right work order.
RapidCount
- Task Variance Color Indicator on Assignment Screen – View counting progress with red and green color indicators. Red indicates a count imbalance. Green indicates a balanced count.
- Inventory Ranking – Parts and Merchandise have a new classification system allowing you to rank their importance using an ABC rankings system. This ensures that the most important parts and merchandise are focused on. This feature will be utilized in the dashboard and cycle counts in the future.
- Inventory Dashboard – There is a new dashboard available in RapidCount, giving users the ability to view inventory availability and required demand by the inventory rankings mentioned above. This ensures that internal and customer requirements are met within timescales.
MobileLink
- Single Sign On Rework – Multi-tenant single sign on (SSO) is available to users with this new rework. What this means is that the same Single Sign On credentials can now be used across multiple environments such as your production, PTF, and testing environments.
- NFC Scan Button – Reservation Detail Screen – Yard techs can scan NFC tags directly on the Reservation Details screen without needing to use the Pick Equipment screen. Overall, this helps techs work faster in the yard by decreasing the number of screens they access during the check out process.
- Return Location Warning – A new pop up window appears to yard techs when they return equipment that is from a different location than the one they are working at.
- Insufficient Quantity Warning – There is also a new pop up window when there are insufficient quantities for sales items that a yard tech might add during the Rapid Transaction process. Quantities will also appear next to equipment during searches.
