New Updates (Q4 2024)
- Quick Pick & held equipment – The Quick Pick feature on MobileLink can now show reservations with held equipment.
- Equipment delivery indicator – An indicator will now appear next to equipment that is staged for delivery if it is indicated on the contract. Users can filter to see delivery, non-delivery, or both on their screens.
- Quick Turn pre-inspection reports – Yard techs can perform pre-inspection condition reports and make equipment ready from down short term status. This speeds up the turnaround time on equipment that was recently returned to the yard and needs to quickly go out on rent again.
- Inspection warnings – MobileLink will warn users if equipment they select is or will be due for inspection within the timeframe of a rental.
- NFC tag scanning (for Android) – To help yard techs find equipment in MobileLink faster, they can scan NFC tags during equipment Check In and Check Out. This is only available in Android devices for the time being.
- Show orders beyond today and tomorrow – In the past, MobileLink showed orders with start dates for today and tomorrow. Your team can now show orders with start dates at a customized number of days looking forward.
- Convert reservations to Open Hold status during Check Out – Some teams use an Open Hold status before sending equipment out on rent. There is now an option to add this extra validation stage to equipment Check Out before it goes on rent.
- Add requirements for condition reports – Yard techs can now be required to fill in fields on condition reports before moving forward in the process of Check In or Check Out. This eliminates blank answers on condition reports.
- Visual gauge for Check Out and Check In – Your team now has an option to add a visual gauge to reports for Check Out and Check In to standardize and better visualize readings on things like fuel gauges.
- Return all equipment – Yard techs can return all equipment on a contract during the Check In process if all equipment are check-marked green, verifying they’ve completed the process for that piece of equipment.
- Filter out equipment – A new filter option allows users to filter out equipment options that are available but non-rentable due to a sale status, past due maintenance, or other reasons specified in the Pick List for Reservation Check Outs.
- New Image Storage – Images can be saved to the new Opentext cloud storage solution. When saved, it will tag the image with equipment number, contract number, customer number, Cat/Class, action type, and image instruction.
