There are times when software is used simply to enhance a business process, perhaps to streamline something, remove some double entry or just make data collection slightly easier. However; there are also times when software can be used to do something innovative, new and exciting. This rarely happens when a software provider works alone, innovative solutions require partnerships with business. Wynne Systems has partnered with Kier Group over the past 12 months to develop the award-winning Kier Direct Hire solution.
With Kier, one of the UK’s leading construction companies, we have used our ConstructionResult solution to deliver a totally streamlined, paperless solution. We provide Kier’s project and field-based users with online equipment rental procurement integrated into their corporate project and financial solutions to deliver real day-to-day business improvements and cost savings to their users.
The Kier Direct Hire solution has been so successful that earlier this month, Kier won the CIPS, Supply Management Award 2016 for “Most Innovative Use of Technology” in London, shortlisted against IBM, Financial Times and Northumbrian Water. The judges selected our submission because it took procurement out into the field, enabled users directly and delivered a really innovative supply chain solution for rental equipment, something totally new for the construction industry.
We were delighted to join Kier’s team to receive the award which is a reflection of the team effort that both companies have put into developing and testing ideas and software to fit every aspect of the business challenges that Kier, like every construction company face when trying to manage rental equipment procurement across many rental vendors with differing charge methods, procurement relationships, and end-user requirements.
At Wynne, we believe that partnerships deliver success, and our partnership with Kier is a shining example of our partnership approach to delivering innovative solutions to our customers. Let us know if you want a live demo of their award-winning solution.
