Kier Group was announced the winner of the team category for Best Use of Technology at CIPS Supply Management Awards 2016 for their KierDirect Hire solution. The Best Use of Technology category rewards procurement and supply chain teams that have used technology in an innovative way to improve performance or efficiency.
KierDirect Hire was developed as a solution to simplify the procurement process, reduce costs and improve supplier management. Kier partnered with Wynne Systems and utilized their Job Site Portal and Supplier Connect solutions to build a better supply process. KierDirect Hire solution provides visibility of hire equipment from initial demand to fulfillment at all job site locations.
KierDirect Hire Portal allows users to requisition equipment at the job site through a paperless process. Job site personnel and project managers can access this portal through any mobile device or desktop to request equipment. Users search a web-based catalog which guides them through a selection process to ensure they pick the correct product and accessories for completing the desired task. Then they can easily source suppliers and requisition equipment to be delivered or placed off hire when they complete the project.
