HERE Technologies, a global leader in mapping and location services, will soon be integrated into Logistics Solution by Wynne Systems. This advanced mapping upgrade provides precise routing tailored for heavy equipment transportation, ensuring efficient fleet operations, regulatory compliance, and real-time adaptability for complex logistics needs.
HERE Powers Smarter Equipment Logistics
— Truck-specific routing tailors routes to truck dimensions, weight, and road restrictions.
— High precision ensures accurate mapping even in remote or hard-to-map areas.
— Optimized for speed, HERE APIs make them ideal for applications where real-time geocoding performance is critical.
— Scalability handles growth as fleets and data demands expand, without performance trade-offs.
— Data Privacy prioritizes security, offering a safer alternative to Google Maps.
Transition to HERE Maps Integration
Why are we moving to HERE Maps?
We’re making this transition to provide more accurate, reliable, and logistics-focused routing. HERE Maps offers advanced capabilities such as truck-specific routing (height, weight, and road restrictions) that improve travel time accuracy. It also strengthens our ability to deliver an AI-driven product with real-time traffic insights and optimized delivery planning tailored for logistics operations.
Can I continue to use Google Maps instead?
Yes. If you prefer to continue with Google Maps, please contact us so we can assist you with setup using your own Google Maps API key.
How will this change be communicated?
What happens if I take no action?
If you take no action, your account will automatically be switched to HERE Maps after the one-week notice period. You will begin using HERE routing immediately, with the option to further optimize results by configuring truck parameters at any time.
What steps do I need to take to get started with HERE?
To get the best results, configure your truck-specific parameters in CMW. Go to the Equipment page and open Route Settings (bottom right, below Employee Pairing). Here, you can set details such as:
- Vehicle height and weight
- Speed limits
- U-turn restrictions
- Other truck-related preferences
If these settings are not added, the system will simply provide you with the standard route.
How will HERE work in my system?
Most areas of your system will remain unchanged. For example:
- Order details page – no changes
- Pin drop/location maps – no changes
The key difference will be visible when scheduling. If you assign a truck number to an order, HERE will use the truck’s configured parameters to provide an updated and more accurate estimated route and time.
What benefits will I see with HERE?
- Truck-optimized routing that accounts for restrictions and parameters
- More accurate delivery estimates when a truck is assigned
- Real-time traffic updates for better planning
- Automatic transition with minimal effort required on your end
What do I do if I face issues after the switch?
Our support team is ready to assist if you experience any issues during or after the transition. You can reach out through your standard support channel, and we’ll ensure you are guided through any troubleshooting or configuration questions.
What is the future plan with HERE?
We are actively working on expanding our use of HERE to bring additional logistics capabilities, including:
- Automatic route optimization to streamline scheduling across multiple orders
- Leveraging the HERE Mobile SDK for more advanced mobile app routing
- Real-time traffic updates to improve dispatch accuracy
These features will be offered as add-ons and may involve additional costs. If you are interested in exploring these upcoming capabilities, please reach out to our team for details.
Will there be additional costs?
If you already purchased the Logistics module prior to July 31, 2025, there will be no additional costs for HERE Maps.
For purchases after that date, HERE Maps will be included with defined usage limits, and additional usage may incur costs. Details will shared by your Account Manager.
