The Revamped Job Site Portal Is Here: A First Look at What’s New (and What’s Next)

job site portal in an office

If your teams rely on Job Site Portal to request equipment, browse available tools, or streamline job site ordering, you already know how important the Job Site Portal experience is. It’s not just a screen your customers log into — it’s a key extension of your rental operation. That’s why we’re excited to share the first phase of a major redevelopment. This Phase One release introduces meaningful upgrades to the portal’s look, structure, and usability — and it’s only the beginning of what’s coming this year.

A Better Job Site Portal Experience Starts With Better Control

One of the first enhancements you’ll notice is something RentalResult users have asked for: more control over how the Job Site Portal feels to your customers.

New Promotional Banner Support

You can now display a customizable promotional banner right at the top of the portal experience. Whether you’re running seasonal campaigns, highlighting special pricing, or promoting specific equipment categories, this gives you a simple way to communicate directly through the portal — without needing outside tools or workarounds. The banner is fully managed through your portal profile settings, making it easy to update whenever needed.

A Cleaner, More Modern Way to Browse Categories

Job Site Portal navigation has also been redesigned with usability in mind.

Goodbye Sidebar Scrolling

In the classic Job Site Portal, category navigation lived on the left-hand side, often requiring extra scrolling and drilling down through long lists.

Hello Tile-Based Category Layout

The updated Job Site Portal introduces a more modern, visual category browsing experience:

  • Categories are now displayed as clean, organized tiles
  • Customers can browse more naturally
  • The experience simpler, and more intuitive

This change alone makes the portal feel more current — especially for users ordering equipment frequently.

Category Images Are Now Easier to Manage

With the new tile layout comes a common question:

Where do I manage the images that appear for each category?

The updated portal makes this straightforward. RentalResult users can now assign thumbnail images directly within Category Profile Maintenance — for both parent categories and child categories. That means your portal can look more polished, more branded, and easier for customers to navigate visually.

Equipment Pages That Feel More Centralized and User-Friendly

As users drill down into individual items, the refreshed design continues.

The equipment detail pages have been reorganized to feel:

  • Cleaner
  • More centralized
  • Less cluttered
  • Easier to understand at a glance

Large images, documentation, videos, and key ordering information now flow together in a way that supports faster decision-making — especially for job site teams ordering under pressure.

This Is Phase One — and There’s Much More Coming

This release is the first step in a broader Job Site Portal transformation. We’re building toward a portal that doesn’t just “function,” but actually feels modern, flexible, and tailored to the way your teams work.

Here’s what’s still ahead on the roadmap.

A Smarter, More Modern Job Site Portal Built Around You

We’re giving the Job Site Portal a full makeover so it not only works better — it feels better to use.

Coming in Q1: Smarter Search

Soon, smarter search will help users quickly find the right products, even if they:

  • Misspell something
  • Use internal terminology
  • Search in a less-than-perfect way

The portal will do more of the work to understand what your customers mean — saving time and reducing friction.

Coming in Q2: A Fresh, Task-Based Portal Experience

By Q2, you’ll see a more modern interface designed around how people actually order and manage equipment.

That includes:

  • A more intuitive, task-based workflow
  • More flexibility in what users see
  • A portal experience that adapts to different roles and needs

Why This Matters for RentalResult Users

If Job Site Portal is part of your customer workflow today, these enhancements are worth paying attention to.

This redevelopment is about:

  • Improving customer experience
  • Reducing ordering friction
  • Making your portal feel like a modern extension of your business
  • Setting the foundation for bigger upgrades throughout 2025

Phase One is already a noticeable improvement — and the upcoming roadmap will take it even further.
