RentalResult Release Update – Q4

release notes

RentalResult Q4 Release Highlights

Stronger Integrations, Smarter Financials, and More Control

This past quarter’s RentalResult updates focus on what matters most: cleaner integrations, more accurate financial data, and smoother workflows across systems. Whether you’re tightening accounting controls, improving re-rent operations, or reducing friction in account and item management, these enhancements are designed to support scale, consistency, and confidence.

RentalResult Core

Financial integrations that match how construction work actually gets billed

Construction invoices often mix rental, re-rent, service, and sales on the same job. RentalResult now generates the outbound GL string more accurately by deriving the segment based on the revenue type on each invoice/credit line. The payoff is simple: cleaner posting into your financial system, fewer “why did this hit the wrong account?” questions, and less manual cleanup at month-end.

Automated rental insurance that’s applied consistently—without extra steps

Insurance charges can be easy to miss when teams are moving fast—especially when quotes turn into contracts and orders get adjusted midstream. This release supports automatic rental insurance charging as a percentage of eligible rental charges, so coverage is applied consistently and shows up clearly on documents. Once configured, it helps ensure you’re capturing the intended insurance revenue, reducing reliance on someone remembering to add it manually, and keeping billing more standardized across branches and crews.

Account setup that fits the way contractors buy

Some contractor customers require a PO every time. Others only need it for certain projects—or don’t use them at all. This update gives your integrations more control when creating accounts through the API, letting you set whether a customer PO is mandatory, optional, or not required, and whether it must be unique when applicable. That means fewer failed orders because a rule didn’t match reality, and smoother onboarding for customers—especially when accounts are created automatically from other systems.

Faster item finding using the part numbers your teams actually use

In the real world, counter and yard teams often think in customer/contractor part numbers—not the internal item description. Item Maintenance now supports searching by Account Parts, so users can find the right item using the identifiers they see on job paperwork and purchase orders. The result is quicker lookups, fewer wrong selections, and less friction when teams are trying to keep work moving. A vocabulary rebuild ensures existing account parts are included in search.

Re-Rentals Direct

Re-rents tend to happen in the middle of real pressure—equipment availability changes, a job schedule shifts, and you still have to keep the site moving. Until now, that often meant bouncing between systems, re-entering the same details, and hoping item information stayed consistent from request to pickup.

With this Q4 release, re-rent work becomes more connected. RentalResult can now pass re-rent purchase order and pickup activity through to RentalMan, helping teams keep momentum without the extra back-and-forth. Item information is aligned using a consistent category/class approach, and the RentalMan reference is retained so the transaction stays tied together if it needs to be adjusted or cancelled later.

The outcome is a smoother, more reliable re-rent process—less re-keying, fewer mismatches, and faster follow-through when the job needs equipment that isn’t on your yard.

Logistics Solution

When systems share inventory and transactional data, completeness matters. This release strengthens the RentalResult–Logistics Solution integration by ensuring stock numbers are included in outbound mappings.

That means teams get more consistent item identification across platforms, reducing confusion and preventing downstream issues where a missing or mismatched identifier can slow work, complicate reporting, or require manual reconciliation. The outcome: cleaner integration data and fewer gaps to chase down.
